PANAJI, Goa (Indian Catholic News) —The Archdiocese of Goa and Daman released its annual Directory 2026-27 on Aug. 23, with church leaders saying it should help the faithful remain connected with the Church.
Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao of Goa and his Auxiliary Bishop Simiao Fernandes released the directory at the Archbishop’s House Aug. 23 in Panaji.
Linking the publication to the archdiocese’s pastoral-year theme, “Abide In Me,” the archbishop said he hoped the directory would help the faithful “come closer to the Church” and “Abide In Christ.”
Bishop Fernandes said the publication should be “a worthy tool to remain connected with one another as we journey in synodality towards the fulfilment of our common mission.”
Director of the Diocesan Centre for Social Communications Media, Father Barry Cardozo said the sourcebook could be used as a “tool kit to revitalise human encounter, protect youth and families and reach out to the vulnerable” through its institutional data.
He also wished that it would help “build a communion of communities” and witness to “the true grandeur of humanity.”
The publication contains information on parishes in Goa and the far-off Mission of Daman, including Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Diu, as well as religious institutes, educational institutions, technical schools and other services offered by the archdiocese.
